Roca Beach Bar & Restaurante

I should've submitted my 5-star review 3 years ago. Was it 4 years ago? Anyway, the meal I had with my family at the beach restaurant is one of the most memorable meal in Portugal. Is it because the meal was a culinary masterpiece? Nope. Did I get Michelin-type service here? Nope. But the quality of meal at seemingly the most touristy place on the planet (on the beach, housed in a modern shack) was surprisingly great! Look at the pulvo (photo below) salad. I am sure the price has changed quite a bit, but that octopus salad is easily 30 in the Unite States. And I just checked the receipt and I paid 8 euros.Also, this is the place I learned that Portugal is actually great when it comes to burgers. And that 2 latte machiatto for 6 euros at the beach? This is some unthinkable stuffs in the United States. Everything here was a surprise. A great, pleasant surprise. Looking forward to revisit during my next trip to Portugal.

So pleasantly surprised by this lovely beach bar in one of the most beautiful towns my family has ever stumbled upon. We were looking for a light early lunch, not expecting much and ended up with a lunch that went above and beyond. This is where we discovered how delicious burgers in Portugal are! Everything from the coffee, to the salads, to the burgers, to the service and overall atmosphere created by being literally ON the beach made for an incredible experience.

Nice beach bar / restaurant, decent pricing.

We couldn’t wait for this restaurant to open simply because of the perfect beach view and secondly the fact they sold sardines. The staff were friendly and as a group of 2 we decided to share the sardines and additional chips. We were not disappointed they tasted fresh and succulent. Well worth a visit and so far the best we have had.

Very close to Penoce rock in Albufeira. This restaurant has great views and offers food and drinks.

Beautiful location in the winter sunshine. We just had morning coffee so can’t comment on the food. Extremely clean facilities.

It’s all about Location for this bar/cafe. It’s directly on the beach. I love to sit on the beach chairs in front of the restaurant with a bucket of beers on the table as the sun sets. It’s a hotel bar so the prices are accordingly to that.

Lovely food and service, even with my drunk friend that’s a complete liability. Will definitely return when back in Albufeira. The food was banging man, definitely go!!
